Vacuum Degassing System

Vacuum Degassing System
Dissolved gases are one of the most damaging and least visible threats in any closed hydronic system. Oxygen drives corrosion across pipework, heat exchangers, and pump casings; carbon dioxide depresses system pH; and free air pockets starve coils of flow and generate the noise that signals an unhealthy installation. We specify vacuum degassing as a mandatory element of every high-performance chiller and HVAC system — because eliminating dissolved gases at the source is always less expensive than repairing the corrosion they cause.
We supply the Flamco Vacumat range, the industry reference for central vacuum degassing in commercial and district-cooling hydronic systems. The Vacumat operates continuously, drawing a side stream of system water into a low-pressure degassing chamber where dissolved gases flash out and are vented automatically — returning clean, degassed water to the circuit without interrupting system operation.
Benefits / Features
- Continuously removes dissolved oxygen, CO₂, and nitrogen — not just entrained air pockets
- Eliminates the root cause of internal corrosion, extending service life of pipework, heat exchangers, and chiller waterboxes
- Stabilises system pH by removing dissolved CO₂, reducing chemical dosing requirements
- Eliminates air noise, flow imbalance, and hot/cold spots caused by gas pockets
- Operates on a live system — no drain-down, no shutdown required
- Compact, wall-mounted unit with integrated pump and automatic vent valve
- BMS integration compatible
