Refrigeration Compressor

The refrigeration compressor is the mechanical heart of any vapour-compression refrigeration cycle, raising low-pressure refrigerant vapour from the evaporator to the high-pressure discharge required by the condenser. Compressor technology selection — reciprocating, scroll, rotary, screw, or centrifugal — directly determines system efficiency, capacity range, noise level, and maintenance interval. Scroll and rotary compressors are widely used in split-type and packaged air conditioners up to ~50 kW; semi-hermetic and open-type screw compressors dominate industrial chillers from 50 kW to several MW; centrifugal (turbo) compressors offer the highest efficiency for large-tonnage chiller plants. For MEP applications, key specification data includes displacement (m³/h), pressure ratio, motor power (kW), operating refrigerant, lubrication system type, capacity modulation range, and compliance with relevant efficiency standards (ASHRAE 90.1, AHRI). We supply replacement and OEM compressors for chiller and refrigeration system projects alongside technical support for selection, installation, and commissioning.
