E-Cabinet and Monitoring

Electrical control cabinets (E-Cabinets) and monitoring systems are the operational intelligence layer of mechanical plant rooms, integrating motor starters, variable frequency drives (VFDs), PLCs, SCADA interfaces, and protection relays into a single engineered enclosure. In chiller plant and pump station applications, E-Cabinets control sequencing logic for multiple chillers and pumps, implement load-based staging, enforce interlocks, log fault events, and communicate with the building management system (BMS) via BACnet, Modbus, or LonWorks protocols. A well-engineered control cabinet includes clearly rated incoming supply protection (MCBs/MCCBs), individual motor protection (overload relays or electronic motor protection), emergency stop circuits, manual/auto transfer switches, and local HMI panels for on-site operator visibility. Remote monitoring capability — energy metering (kWh), flow measurement, temperature and pressure trending — enables predictive maintenance and energy performance verification against design KPIs. We design, fabricate, and commission custom E-Cabinets to project-specific control philosophies, with full as-built documentation and integration support for third-party BMS platforms.
